ABOUT US

LIGHTS ON, Inc. was formed through the active engagement of His Works United (the largest ecumenical collaboration of African American Churches in the state of Minnesota) and the Stairstep Foundation, as a vehicle to build community capacity and achieve community empowerment.

Through the active participation of the willing, we will gather our own resources in order to:

^ SEEK OUT IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

^ COMMISSION & DISTRIBUTE ANALYTICAL PAPERS DEVELOPED BY SCHOLAR-PRACTITIONERS TO CLARIFY IMPORTANT ISSUES & APPROPRIATE STRATEGIES & TACTICS FOR COMMUNITY WELL-BEING.

^ INITIATE PERSUASION CAMPAIGNS TO GATHER SUPPORT FOR ISSUES OF COMMUNITY IMPORT.

^ LEND SUPPORT TO LEADERS WHO OPERATE IN CONCERT WITH OUR COMMUNITY VALUES & INTERESTS.

^ MONITOR THE ACTIONS AND DECISIONS OF ELECTED & APPOINTED OFFICIALS & REPORT TO THE VILLAGE.
